Meetup Group and Membership Titles
Naturists in the O.C. maintain a Meetup group as a way to reach out into the local non-naturist community. The only requirements to join are to be at least 18 years old, reside somewhere within Southern California or plan a trip here within the next six months and submit a recognizable profile photo that includes their face. There is no real way to fully vet these request to join this group.
The purpose of this categorization is that we would like to see people transition from being just curious about naturism towards attending some of our events and eventually formally joining our club.
The categories we use for this and the meaning of each one are as follows:
JUST CURIOUS: A new member of the Meetup group who has not yet attended any NITOC event even as a guest. Basically, we have never met you. If you are in this group category we expect you to attend an event where we can meet one of our board members in person within six months of joining or you will be removed from the group. Please see below which events meet these criteria and which do not.
MEETUP ONLY MEMBER: A Meetup Group member that has attended one or more NITOC events but has not formally applied for NITOC club membership. Please see below the requirements to stay on our Meetup group.
NITOC FULL MEMBER: A person whose NitOC application form has been accepted. These members receive a NitOC Membership card will not include a photo. Only these members may participate in NitOC private events and receive discounts at Glen Eden Sun Club (please note GE has a three-visit limit per year) and any other affiliated clubs, and attend events where NitOC members are invited. Please check with local clubs to verify if they give a discount to our card-carrying members. As your NitOC card does not include a photo please be ready to show some other photo ID with a matching name when attending an event.
NITOC and TNS MEMBER: A person whose NITOC and TNS Membership application form has been accepted. Everything mentioned in the previous paragraph applies and in addition they will receive discounts at any club across the US where TNS cards are accepted. They will receive separate TNS and NitOC Cards as well as the "N" magazine from TNS.
AANR: NitOC is now also affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation. We hope to soon be able to have our members renew their AANR membership application through NitOC as well.

NITOC would like to encourage those members that are "Just Curious" to attend one of our events soon so that you are not removed from the group; those meetup "Only Meetup Members" to apply for NITOC membership and "Full NITOC Members" to join The Naturist Society and/or AANR as well.
NEW POLICY AFFECTING MEETUP ONLY MEMBERS STARTING AUGUST 2025: This new policy applies immediately to everyone that joined our Meetup group in 2025 and will start to be applied retroactively to all Meetup Only Members as of September 1st. As previously mentioned, this change in policy is intended for members to actively participate in events were we can identify you individually and not stay a meetup member because you attended a 5k or WNBRLA eons ago.
The following events do not qualify you to meet your Meetup Member requirement:

Why should I join NITOC?
Annual NITOC membership fee $40 ($41.75 when paid on line with PayPal fee)
Annual NITOC and The Naturist Society combined membership fee $95 ($99.50 when paid on line with PayPal fee)

- 5k Runs
- Any other large attendance events where it is very hard to meet a board member in person, confirm your attendance, and at least to get to know you and have a conversation with you.
- Pizza Nights
- Archery events
- Beach Trips
- Hikes
- Summer games, when you have checked in at the NitOC team table
- Small events at Nudist Resorts where we may identify all attendees individually
The following actions will result in you being removed from our Meetup group:
- Not following our naturist event code of conduct at one of our events.
- Not attending any event within six months of joining our Meetup group
- Removing your photo from your Meetup profile
Why should I join NITOC?
- Obtain discounts on all NitOC paid events and some local clubs like Glen Eden (three events annual limit still applies) and be accepted at some SCNA member only events
- Support Naturist in the O.C. by contributing to the clubs working capital and cover recurring expenses
- Support all efforts to protect and expand Naturist Lifestyle opportunities in Orange County and Southern California
